Athena is an experienced psychiatric nurse practitioner in the assessment and treatment of adults 18 years and older, and has worked with multiple local colleges and universities, as well as the Boston VA Healthcare system and McLean Hospital. She is currently on staff at Wellesley College's Stone Center Counseling Services, where she works with undergraduate students.

She feels strongly that a genuine connection with clients is the first step in any successful treatment plan. She brings compassion, empathy, expertise in psychopharmacology and her authentic self into her work with clients. She tries to empower her clients through education so that treatment becomes a collaborative effort.
